Spay and Neuter: Owned Cats and Dogs

The Hawaiian Humane Society’s Ginny Tiu Community Spay/Neuter Center is a specialized high-quality spay/neuter clinic designed to increase availability of affordable cat and dog spay/neuter services for the most vulnerable in our community.

Spay/Neuter Fees for Pet Cats and Dogs

The Hawaiian Humane Society is committed to offering low-fee, high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter services to the community at the Ginny Tiu Community Spay/Neuter Center.

Fees include pre-operative examination, anesthesia, surgery, microchip, nail trim and post-operative pain medication (for dogs). Elizabethan collars (e-collars) are available for $10.

Schedule an Appointment

We do not accept walk-ins. An appointment is required for all animals.

Prior to making an appointment, please review the eligibility requirements and scheduling information. 

  • Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh 2 pounds
  • Due to our high-volume capacity, we are not able to accommodate dogs over 60 pounds
  • All surgeries are same day procedures—you must pick up your pet the same day
  • Plan accordingly as appointments fill up months in advance

Need help covering the costs of spay/neuter for your pet?

Participating veterinarians island wide are offering Neuter Now Certificates in partnership with the City and County of Honolulu. Neuter Now Certificates provide discounted spay/neuter services to qualifying EBT/Kokua cardholders, Medicaid cardholders and low-income households receiving housing assistance. Qualifying households may purchase up to 10 certificates per year for a reduced rate of $20 each. Each Neuter Now Certificate is valid for one dog or cat. 

You will need an ID and your EBT/Kokua, Quest Integration or Medicaid cards or a current low-income housing notice/voucher with your name on it to submit an application.

Owned Dogs and Cats: 7:00 am – 8:00 am

Pick-Up
Owned Dogs: 4:30 pm – 5:00 pm

Owned Cats: 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm
