It’s easy to support Hawaiian Humane and it’s a tax savings for you when you transfer your annual IRA distribution directly to us. You’ll incur no taxes on the income. And your IRA funds will help us as we help tens of thousands of animals each year. Please check with your financial advisor about your distribution requirements. The IRS does not allow a tax deduction for IRA transfer gifts. Use THIS SAMPLE LETTER to mail to your IRA administrator to convey your wishes.

IRA & Retirement Plan – Name Hawaiian Humane as a Beneficiary
Naming us as a beneficiary of your retirement plan accounts can be among the easiest to arrange. You simply designate the Hawaiian Humane Society to receive all or a portion of the balance of the funds when you no longer need them. Please reach out to your plan administrator to ask how to name Hawaiian Humane as a beneficiary. This may allow you to give more than you ever thought possible, as well as leaving heirs other assets that may be taxed at lower rates.
Hawaiian Humane Society IRS non-profit designation number: 99-0073490
Fun fact: The IRS recognized the Hawaiian Humane Society as a non-profit in August, 1943.
