Love is Blind for Couch Crashers

Monday, April 15, 2024 - Tuesday, April 30, 2024

All Day

Affectionately themed after the popular Netflix series, “Love is Blind,” the Hawaiian Humane Society invites members of the public to fill out a questionnaire on their preferences, lifestyle, household and family, then visit either our Mōʻiliʻili Campus or Kosasa Family Campus at Hoʻopili now through April 30 to be “blind” paired to a shelter dog (at least one year of age or older) that best matches them. Each family will get a fun “reveal” on-campus where they will meet and get to know their furry prospective Couch Crasher match before going home with them for one to two weeks, along with the supplies they’ll need to care for their foster dog.

To participate, the public is encouraged to visit Hawaiian Humane’s Mōʻiliʻili Campus daily from 11 am to 6 pm, or the Kosasa Family Campus at Hoʻopili Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm. They’ll be invited to submit an adoption questionnaire to provide their details, noting that they are interesting in Couch Crashing. Hawaiian Humane’s experienced adoptions representatives will work with potential fosters from there to match them to the right foster dog for their home, lifestyle and family. Once matched, Hawaiian Humane will provide the foster with all of the necessary supplies and, if needed, veterinary care for the dog during their foster period. Once the fostering period is complete, fosters are asked to complete a virtual report card about the dog, which helps Hawaiian Humane to match these dogs with a permanent home that will best meet their needs.
