Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Hawaiian Humane Society. Due to construction and an overwhelming response to shelter volunteer opportunities, we are not processing applications at this time. We thank you for your patience and understanding and ask that you look to volunteering with us in the future! Until then, here are some other ways that you can provide assistance to the Hawaiian Humane Society.
- Host a pet food/ supply drive and the Hawaiian Humane Society can devote more of its resources to animal protection and saving lives. Drop off donations at 2700 Waialae Avenue at our temporary collections container or our Admissions center day or night.
- Participate in our Foster Care Program. Hawaiian Humane Society’s foster care program helps to save thousands of orphaned animals, as well as owned animals in which families are in crises. Nearly 150 animals are in foster care at any given time so more providers are always needed. This program can also help students fulfill service learning hours with their families in their own home with parent consent. Parents must attend the training class and students may earn up to 3 hours per day.
- Volunteer at an event. Help make Hawaiian Humane events successful by volunteering. Positions include set-up team, booth management, event administration, clean-up crew and more. If you are interested in being placed on an email list to notify you of upcoming events please email Sharon at email@example.com.
