Act now and be a voice for animals. Oppose SB 2450 RELATING TO PREDATORS – a bill which would ban feeding of cats, dogs and other animals deemed predators on all state land. State land includes state-owned: beaches, parks, schools, ports, hiking trails, forests and so much more. This draconian proposal if made law would condemn cats to death by starvation. We know there are alternatives and must demand that the State explore all options. Criminalizing the public for preventing suffering by feeding cats, which is an effective strategy to gain trust in order to sterilize them, is not acceptable.
POINTS TO INCLUDE
• Starving cats is not a compassionate solution
• If cats are removed it will increase the rat population
• Sterilization, not starvation, will reduce cats in the community humanely
Register and go here to submit written testimony, and even better, come testify in person on Friday, Feb. 12 at 2 pm at the State Capitol Conference Room 414.
