Humane
Traps
The
public can borrow humane traps from us to capture cats or dogs that are
causing problems on private property. There is no fee for the use of the
traps, but a refundable deposit is required for dog traps. We will also
provide you with instruction on the proper use of the trap. Traps are
in great demand so it is recommended that you call before visiting the
shelter to make sure a trap is available. Traps can be picked up at the
Incoming Animals area. Phone 946-2187.

Legislative
Action
We
are advocates for animals and lobby actively for local and national legislation
that will benefit them. We also strongly state our opposition to legislation
that may be harmful to animals. Check the current

Sheltering
We
are an open-access shelter and provide temporary care for lost and homeless
animals of all kinds. We will not turn an animal away. Although there
are minimum holding times established by law for cats and dogs, most of
our animals stay with us much longer while we are trying to return them
home or find them a new one. For information, call 946-2187.
