> Lost & Found > If You've Found an Animal
If you've found an animal It isn't always easy to determine whether an animal is lost or abandoned, but in either case, the animal needs your help. Sometimes pets are lost for a year or more before being reunited with their owner. It is only when a caring individual takes the time to contact us, that we can help bring pet and owner together again. Often, we will be able to identify the lost pet immediately, especially if it is wearing identification. In cases like this, we can contact the owner and have them pick up their pet from you. If no match is made over the phone, you may bring the animal to our shelter or we will make arrangements to pick the pet up from you. If an owner does not come to reclaim the animal and you are interested in adopting it, you will be given this opportunity first. If
