Selecting a Pet

Home > Adoptions

When you adopt from the Hawaiian Humane Society, you are gaining a marvelous companion and giving an animal a home — all at a very reasonable price.

The adoption process takes about an hour. Give yourself plenty of time to find just the right companion animal. You will be asked to fill out an Adoption Profile (see below) and talk with an adoption counselor. (You may want to download an Adoption Profile, fill it out at home, and bring it with you.) Adoption hours are noon – 8 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. weekends and holidays.

Got a special need? Want a special breed? We can help you find one that is just right for you. Fill out this profile and we'll keep a look out for your special preferences for 30 days. This information will help us make the best placement possible — the right home for each animal and the animal most compatible with your lifestyle.
