Hawaiian Humane Society’s foster care program helps to save thousands of treatable, orphaned animals, as well as owned animals in which families are in crises. Nearly 150 animals are in foster care at any given time and more providers are needed. This program can also help students fulfill service learning hours with their families in their own home.
Foster Care Orientation
Sign up for an upcoming orientation here. Our training is simple and quick, and you can get started as a volunteer right away. Volunteers must have transportation for health care appointments and time to spend with the animals. Short and long term fostering opportunities are available including fostering a healthy, adoptable animal for space reasons.
