Dogs In Restaurants

Hawaiian Humane Society believes restaurant owners should have the right to choose whether to allow dogs in their own restaurant. If you would like to become a part of our Advocacy team, creating a more pet-friendly Oahu, call 356-2247.

Current health code interpretations disallow all animals except service dogs. The Hawaii State Department of Health was asked in 2010 to reconsider their interpretation of the existing administrative rules that prohibit well-behaved dogs and their owners from dining together especially in outdoor eating areas.
